Monday November 16th - Dear Auld Scotland
The Bell Family came to Canada from Scotland, and were very proud to be Scottish. Celebrate everything Scottish with food, Highland games, and crafts.
    Friday December 4th - Happy Holidays!
    The Bell family celebrated an old-fashioned Victorian Christmas, but they also travelled and experienced other cultures. Get ready for holidays all over the world. Sample international treats. Make some gifts to give!
      Friday April 16th - The World and Everything In It
      Alexander Graham Bell was curious about our world. Are you? Join us for a fun day of crafts, games and activities exploring our home planet. Learn how we can all be good caretakers of it.

          Monday March 15th - Childhood Days
          Aleck grew up in Scotland with his two brothers. He loved to have fun and play games, but he also loved to investigate the world around him. Play old-fashioned games, and investigate the world around you!
            Tuesday March 16th - Sound Ideas
            Dr. Bell's most famous invention was the telephone, but he had spent years learning about sound and the human ear. Dr. Bell was also a teacher of the hearing impaired. Try out old-fashioned telephones, investigate sound, and learn other ways of communicating without sound.
              Wednesday March 17th - Summers in Baddeck
              Aleck and his wife Mabel had a summer house on Cape Breton Island. Some of Aleck's most interesting experiments happened there, but he also loved the people and the island life. Explore kites and boats, while enjoying Cape Breton crafts, food, and music!
                Thursday March 18th - The Geography of Everything
                Aleck was involved with the National Geographic Society, and loved the magazine! The Society believed geography included everything on Earth. Experience other cultures, photography, and map a piece of the Earth!
                  Friday March 19th - Happy Birthday Aleck!
                  Alexander Graham Bell was born on March 3r, 1847. Enjoy a belated birthday celebration with Victorian party games, crafts, and a birthday cake.

                  TIME TRAVELLERS 1

                  Monday July 19th - The Teens
                  The museum opened to the public in 1910. Find out what life was like during the teens, with games, crafts, and other fun activities.
                    Tuesday July 20th - The Twenties
                    It's the bee's knees and the cat's pyjamas! Celebrate the roaring 20s in style with music, games, and lots more!
                      Wednesday July 21st - The Thirties
                      The Depression years were tough, but people learned to use what they had. Learn how to make your fun with recycled crafts. Try out nifty foods from the Dirty Thirties.
                        Thursday July 22nd - The Forties
                        Canada was at war overseas and on the home front, but there were still good times to be had. Listen to some great music while you do your part!
                          Friday July 23rd - The Fifties
                          Let's go to the hop! Get your circle skirts and jeans out, because the fifties were fabulous!

                            TIME TRAVELLERS II

                            Monday August 16th- The Sixties
                            Swing into the 1960s with music, food, games and crafts. Get modern with art, and make yourself some glad rags.
                              Tuesday August 17th - The Seventies
                              Groove on into the 1970s! The telephone turned 100 in 1974. Check out some phones from the collection, and make a phone of your own.
                                Wednesday August 18th - The Eighties
                                Video games and computers were just coming into homes, but the Homestead showed the good old days. Experience the 80s with fun games, crafts, and other activities.
                                  Thursday August 19th - The Nineties
                                  The Homestead underwent restoration and the Internet gained in popularity. Find out what the 90s were like with crafts, music and other activities.
                                    Friday August 20th - The 2000s
                                    It's the start of the millennium and a new century! Celebrate the Homestead's hundredth birthday with a party! We'll have good food, fun activities and great times.
