P. A. Day Pastimes 2015 - 2016

Winter Warm-Up - Monday January 18th 2016

Join us at the Bell Homestead as we warm up to winter.  January is usually the coldest month of the winter.  We'll make cozy felt crafts, weave with wool, bake a warm winter treat, and play indoor and outdoor games.

The World and All That's In It - Friday April 22nd 2016

Today is Earth Day!  Celebrate it at the Bell Homestead by learning about the earth and all that's in it and on it.  Alexander Graham Bell was fascinated by our planet - find out why! We'll make earth art, learn how re-use and recycle, and be good neighbours to our plant and animal friends.

Spring into Summer - Friday June 10th 2016

June was an important time when the Bells farmed the Homestead.  The spring was changing into summer and they had to be ready.  Help us get ready for the summer by digging in the gardens, starting seeds, and celebrating the return of fun in the sun!

Ages 5 to 11. Pre-registration is required, $25 per child per day, $14.00 per half day (25% off for museum family members).  Camps run 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Children may be dropped off after 8:45 a.m. and must be picked up by 4:15 p.m.  No before- or after-care. March Break 2016

Alexander's Adventures - March 14th to March 18th

Alexander Graham Bell had many adventures in his long life.  He created inventions, travelled around the world, played music, taught deaf children, loved art, and experimented constantly.  Join Alexander on his adventures this March Break!

Summer 2016

World Explorers: August Day Camps - August 22nd to August 26th and August 29th to September 2nd

Ages 5 to 11. Alexander Graham Bell was involved with the National Geographic Society from its start in 1888.  He gave the National Geographic Magazine it's mission to report on "the world and all that's in it."  The society and magazine have been a part of everything from polar exploration to the moon landings. Join us at the Bell Homestead as we explore the world with National Geographic!

Week 1: Polar Trek, Buggy About Bugs, In the Clouds, The Ocean Deep, History's Mysteries

Week 2: World Travels, Go Ape!, Field and Forest, Space Race, Digging Up Dinos
